Kahkeshan Cottage

Shri Nathji stayed at the Kahkeshan Cottage  from 1933-1937. And also visited it in later years like 1947. Kahkeshan Cottage belonged to Nawab Istafa Khan, who gave it rent free to Shri Nathji for His stay.  It is here that Shri Nathji met Rehana, Abbas Ali Tyyab and Sir Sultan Ahmed. 

Also the Britisher Hassellwright of the Heinz Tomato Co came to see Shri Nathji at Kahakashan. Presently this cottage has been converted into a hotel – Kahakashan Hotel.  It address is 1 Spring road,Gandhi chowk, Mussoorie It is near Gandi Chowk beneath the Savoy Hotel.

 As seen in the 3D satellite photos, this place is situated on a edge of the mountain. So it gives a good view of the valley bellow.

  This historical place is not far from Savitiri Nivas. I have given the route to be taken to reach Kahakeshan form savotor Nawas. 

Gen on the mall Road. Walk towards Gandhi Chowk. Then turn little left  towards Spring Road. A few meters on this road will take you to Kahakashan Hotel which would be on your left hand side. The photos on top are of Kahakashan taken in 1947. Mahamateshwariji can be seen standing in the entrance.
