Cavendish Hotel has closed down.
In 1960 Shri Nathji and His family stayed at the
Cavendish Hotel, at Elgin Road. Elgin Road is
part of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg. The above photograph is of Cavendish Hotel in 1961. This hotel, run by a Parsi Lady
has now closed down long back. The only hotel in this area now is Hotel Grand
Continental. Near the location were Cavendish Hotel was located, there is a
food joint run by a person from Kolkotta. It is popular place called “Friends Forever.” This area has a multiplex
cinema and many good shops for shopping. I have given a high zoom close up satellite photograph of the buildings
on both sides of Elgin Road, were Cavendish Hotel once was.
