eczema

When Shri Nathji was in Allahabad in 1949, Shri Nathji had a severe eczema on his neck. This had come about because of his heavy clothing in hot weather, and his hours and hours of exertion in speaking to the multitudes that thronged to him at Allahabad.
Shri Nathji always wore a closed neck achkan, which aggravated the eczema. He also had a boil under his right arm-pit which was very painful.
No one else in the world could have endured so many travails on the physical plane and yet given so much peace and happiness to people. He would meet visitors with a divine glow on his face and a ready smile that lifted people to another world. Never would he complain of his own pain or even give the slightest indication that he was unwell.
The word eczema comes from Greek words, that mean "to boil over". It is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin).
The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent skin conditions. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes that are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skin edema (swelling), itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Areas of temporary skin discoloration may appear and are sometimes due to healed injuries. Scratching open a healing lesion may result in scarring and may enlarge the rash. There is no known cure for eczema; therefore, treatments aim to control the symptoms by reducing inflammation and relieving itching. It was indeed a miracle how Shri Nathji allowed such incurable diseases to manifest in His body and was able to permanently cure Himself from them as and when He desired.
