Professor L.W.C. Miles of
Manchester University, was introduced to Shri Nathji by his friend, Dr. R.B.
Chavan of the I.I.T. Dr. Miles is totally overwhelmed with the personality of
Shri Nathji and listens to his words in rapt attention. He writes later: “I was
astonished to see the Grace of God working through Shri Nathji. I thought it had
existed only amongst Christians!”
He again visited Shri Nathji,
this time with His wife. Shri Nathji speaks
in English to the couple who are moved to the point of tears. Shri Nathji says
in a loud pronouncement:
“MY SOUL IS RESTLESS TO
BURST OUT OF THIS BODILY FRAME AND GO TO ITS PLACE, WHICH IS ITS ETERNAL HOME!”
Professor Miles and his wife
are so deeply touched that they say that this has been the highlight of their
visit to India. They had never met anyone like Shri Nathji in their entire
lives before. Dr. Miles sister, lay on her deathbed in England, but her last moments were made peaceful by Shri Nathji’s booklet: “A Message of Peace.”
Dr. Leslie W C Miles was the
professor of Textile Chemistry, Department of Textiles, University of
Manchester. Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester, UK. Dr Leslie W.C.
Miles had done his PhD in Chemistry in 1948. He is an authority on the
subject of Textile printing. A famous book of his is titled “Textile Printing”.
It is published by the “Society of Dyers & Colorist” and edited by Dr. Leslie
W C Miles after he retired. It is also available as a free e-book online. It is
specially focused on the Traditional Method of Textile Printing like Engrave
roller method, Surface Printing Method etc.
