In Allahabad Shri Nathji stayed at the Royal Hotel in Allahabad. He moved there on October 1958 and stayed their till April 1959. Shri Nathji rented two rooms in this hotel which were in the back side of the hotel, adjacent to an unkept lawn. They were Room Number 5 and 6.  The covered Varandah at the back of the hotel was converted to a kitchen and Shri Nathji’s servant, Jodh Singh, carried out the cooking.  Shri Nathji had the back lawn cleaned and mowed. He would walk back and forth in the lawn. Shri Nathji and His family enjoyed their stay at Royal Hotel and liked the freedom they felt there compared to their stay at Shri Chopra’s residence. Unfortunately the Owner of the hotel who was a friend of mister Chopra wanted these rooms vacated as he wanted to rent them at a higher price. When Shri Nathji and his family was at Mussoorie he break the locks of those rooms and removed Shri  Nathji’s belongings in Presence of Shri Chopra.This Hotel is most important for humanity due to the fact that  it was here that Shri Nathji wrote the monumental and historical book "Daivi Kirne - Rays Devine", which contained 365 thoughts, one for each day of the year. Shri Nathji personally did the entire proof reading of this book. 

This wonderful old building is at Civil Lines. It is also near the train station. As with many places associated with Shri Nathji. This place also has an interesting History. It used to be royal stables but was converted into a hotel by the King of Kalakankar, a former princely state, after he was refused entry into a British-run hotel nearby.  It’s facilities are pretty basic, , but has bags of character and the rooms, and their bathrooms, are absolutely enormous. Good news is that this hotel is still intact and has retailed all of it’s old design with no additions or alterations in it’s building. So even now one can go and book room number 5 and 6 were Shri Nathji stayed and enjoy it’s charm.
