Billy Graham

Billy Graham, the famous American evangelist and preacher, happened to be in London at the time when Shri Nathji had returned from America. Crowds of boisterous youngsters mocked him and made fun of his spiritual quest. There were photographs of these young materialists dancing on the roof of his car. George Korab De Moers made an attempt to bring Billy Graham to Shri Nathji. An evangelist of God would surely recognize God. But the evangelist was much too busy preaching about God to spare a moment for Him. One does not know what might have transpired had Billy Graham come befor e Shri Nathji. The evangelist had a spark of light within him, and perhaps he would have recognised the Sun. But the ways of God were mysterious. He had come down to earth to be recognised by just a few. It made no difference to Him who recognised Him. The Sun was out. Only the eyes that were open would perceive it.
There is a letter from Billy Graham, in America, in 1990, where writes to HH Priya Nath telling him that: “Prayers can only be heard when they are conveyed through Christ!”
This is his response to the World Prayer Day – which had for its motto:
“Pray wherever you are in whatever way you like”
Shri Nathji is visibly annoyed and says:
“What do these people know about Christ? What do they know about God? How do they know what God wants?”
HH Priya Nath drafts an angry letter to Billy Graham, but Shri Nathji does not want it sent. Instead, he sends a very polite letter to Billy Graham, thanking him for his response to the World Prayer Day.
Shri Nathji discusses the creation of a World Prayer Trust through which the World Prayer Temple common to all faiths can be constructed, which will bring people of all religions together. It is a dream of Shri Nathji to be fulfilled by Priya Nath.
Shri Nathji reads the small booklet printed in Mussoorie in 1976 entitled “Nath Dharm” – “The Religion of Nath” in which Shri Nathji says:
“I have no mission except Love in this world,
My mission is Love and my work is Love”

William Franklin "Billy" Graham, Jr. (born November 7, 1918) is an American Christian evangelist, ordained as a Southern Baptist minister, who rose to celebrity status in 1949 with the national media backing of William Randolph Hearst and Henry Luce. His sermons were broadcast on radio and television, some still being re-broadcast today.
Graham is notable for having been a spiritual adviser to several United States Presidents; he was particularly close to Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard M. Nixon. During the civil rights movement, he began to support integrated seating for his revivals and crusades; in 1957 he invited Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to preach jointly at a huge revival in New York City, where they appeared together at Madison Square Garden, and bailed the minister out of jail in the 1960s when he was arrested in demonstrations.
Graham has repeatedly been on Gallup's list of most admired men and women. He has appeared on the list 55 times since 1955 (including 49 consecutive years), more than any other individual in the world.
