Shri Nathji came to Malik Nagar,
Sahibabad, in December 1950. The Kasera brothers had beseeched Shri Nathji to
come to Malik Nagar, Sahibabad, which was in Ghaziabad and about twenty miles
from New Delhi, and to stay there with Nand Kishore Kasera, the son of Devki
Nandan.
Nand Kishore Kasera was an accountant
in a Glass Factory at Malik Nagar. He had been given residential quarters with
very primitive facilities, but which had enough rooms to accommodate Shri
Nathji and his family.
Shri Nathji came here next year also
in December 1951. While at Malik Nagar on the 17th of
December 1951 Mahamateshwari made her
will for the
first time. She was very concerned
that the house that
she had purchased for Shri Nathji,
which was now named Savitri Nivas, would notfall into wrong hands after her
going. She had seen the fate that had befallen the Dehra
Dun house of Shri Nathji. She knew how
simple and innocent Shri Nathji was in
worldly matters. And, therefore, she,
being the daughter of a senior advocate like Lala Hargopal, thought it best to
set down on paper the rights of her children.
Shri Nathji came to Malik Nagar for
the last time on December 1955.
Sahibabad is a collective name of some industrial, residential and commercial areas within the jurisdiction of
Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh State. It touches the borders of Delhi,
Noida, and main city of Ghaziabad. Collectively within the district it
constitutes a part of the National Capital Region - Delhi NCR.
In the old days the name Sahibabad was
coined for Village Sahibabad (now a semi-urban) area which lies tucked adjacent
to the Railway Line, Link Road Flyover and Madan Mohan Malviya Marg.
In !950’s this place place was in a
village and there were fields all around. As in times of Shri Nathji, it still
has glass factories, but now this area has become a major Industrial zone and
saw rapid development after the 1980’s. It also has the factory of Bislery
mineral water as well as Dabar.
