Nabha

The Maharaja of Nabha was greatly devoted to Babaji Mahraj. Babaji Maharaj stayed at his Nabha Estate in Shimla. He later persuaded Shri Babaji Maharaj to come and live with him at Nabha State for a while, and Shri Babaji Maharaj agreed. The Maharaja placed a full independent bungalow at the disposal of Shri Babaji Maharaj, which was known as Malbe Vaali Kothi. Babaji Maharaj stayed at Nabha till the death of the Maharaja.
Nabha is a Town in Patiala District in Punjab State in India . Nabha is 23.3 km distance from Patiala . And 73 km distance from its State Main City Chandigarh. This was the capital of the Nabha State. The ruling dynasty of Nabha are Sikh the state was founded around 1763 by a member of the Phulkian family. Places of interest to see here are the Hira Mahal, the residence of the royal family.
The gardens and orchards surrounding it have developed into the Hira Mahal Colony. This is the first city which still has the Rolls Royce in the shape of animals, specially crafted for the kings of this city. These were used by the kings and are preserved in the Nabha museum. Qila Mubarak fort is situated at the heart of the city, it has housed various government offices, including the courts. Here Gurdwara Ghodhiyan Walla is famous so is the old temple of Attharan Bhuji (goddess with eighteen arms statue) and Vedas Mandir in Sadar Bazar. The old part of the city, sometimes termed 'Purani nabhi', is a veritable maze of narrow winding alleys which astonish you by emerging at the most unexpected places. Above is the Photograph of the Nabha Palace taken in 1908.
