Justice G.P. Bhatt

Justice G.P. Bhatt was just a Sub Judge but with Shri Nathji’s blessings rose to become the chief justice of Madhya Pradesh, the largest state in India. After retirement he also becomes the vice chancellor of Sagar University. When he died he was given a state funeral and the Nation Flag was lowered in Madhya Pradesh as a sign of respect for their Chief Justice.
Bhatt Sahib came for Shri Nathji’s darshan in 1958 at Allahabad, where Mateshwariji was so pleased with him the she said to him:
“Bhatt Sahib apko Chief Justice kar diya hai! Bhatt Sahib you have been made chief Justice!”
Bur Bhaatt said “Ma Meraa Chief Justice banne ka koi chance naheen hai! Holy mother there is no chance for me to become Chief Justice”
And Shri Nath who was in the same room said that Bhatt Sahib, if there were a chance of what use would blessing be!”
Bhatt Sahib was right to say that he has no chance as he was to retire next year.  But the miracle happened. In the Mahagranth it is mentioned that in 1959 Bhatt become Chief Justice of the High court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur.  But I discovered in the process of my research, that the blessings of Maha Mateshwari  and Shri Nathji  gave fruit  almost instant.  He infect become Chief Justice in 1958 itself, the same year in which he got the blessings from Shri Nathji.  I studied the names and tenures of all the chief Justices of Madhya Pradesh and found that he had the shortest tenure among all the early Chief Justices of Madhya Pradesh.  He was chief Justice from 1958 to 1959. He was followed by Justice P.V. Dixit who remained Chief Justice for 10 years. So it is a great miracle that Shri Nathji  made Bhatt Sahib the Chief Justice at the twilight of his career when he was about to retire. Please see the link : http://mphighcourt.nic.in/LIST.HTM  which gives the names and tenures of all the Chief Justices of Madhya Pradesh.
I wanted to post a photograph of Bhatt Sahib in his official attire as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High court. There is a museum of Judiciary in the same building which houses the Madhya Pradesh High Court at Jabalpur. Here there is a wall which has names and photographs of all the chief justices of Madhya Pradesh. Bhatt Sahibs photograph in the top row. He is the second face from the extreme right hand side of the row.
If you ever happen to visit Jabalpur, do visit this Judicial Museum. There is no entry ticket and it is conveniently located inside the premises of the High court of Jabalpur. There you can see the this photo of Bhatt Sahib.
