Dara Opticals

Shri Nathji occasionally used to go to Dara Opticals in Green Park to get his reading glasses corrected. After Shri Nathji's cataract operation in 1975, Shri Nathji had to wear spectacles–white as well as dark–all the time. Dara Opticals had just begun work at that time. When all other famous shops in Delhi had failed to provide proper glasses to Shri Nathji, Shri Dara had succeeded in giving him the right lenses. Shri Nathji had especially blessed the shop which was prospering now more than any other optician’s shop in the area. The proprietor, Shri Dara, was always overjoyed at seeing Shri Nathji in his shop at Green Park, and Shri Nathji used to say to him, referring to the spectacles that he is wearing:

“Maine aapko apni aankhon pe rakhaa huaa hai!”

“I have kept you on my eyes!”

Dara Opticals is still at its original location at - C-1/B, Opposite Indian Oil Bhawan,Green Park Extension, Main Aurobindo Marg, Green Park, Delhi -16. It is located near Pankaj Electronics.
