44 Fairhazel Gardens, London

These are actual photographs of 44 Fairhazel Gardens in West Hampstead, which was the First residence od Shri Nathji in London. Shri Nathji stayed here with HH Pran Nathji and Mr. Karai. Mr. and Mrs. Chabowski were the landlords. They become very devoted to Shri Nathji. Mrs. Chabowski din’t had children. She treated HH Pran Nath as her own son. In the above photograph, Coronel Chabowski is standing with Shri Nathji out side the house.

 It was also in this house that Shri Nathji celebrated His birday on 23rd June 1963. Shri Nathji's birthday was being celebrated by a small gathering at 44, Fairhazel Gardens. There were Mr. and Mrs. Chabowski, Mr. Karai and his friends, and Pran Nath and his friends; there was also Mr. Ashar Husein, son of Chaudhri Hyder Husein of Mussoorie. It was quite a change for Shri Nathji from the multitudes he had been accustomed to on his birthdays in India.
 Shri Nathji sat in the midst of this small gathering, dressed royally in a white woollen achkan and a scarlet silk turban, with a powerful divine radiance on his face.

Also I have superimposed the London map in one satellite photo so that its exact location can be ascertained. The house is marked as A in some photos, for the purpose of identification.

As we see the house next to this building is under repairs. It's interesting to note that the residents of London still lovingly preserve these Heritage buildings instead of demolishing them and constructing modern buildings. Thus so many of these areas in London where Shri Nathji stayed look exactly the same as they did in the early 1960's when he was there in London.
