When Shri Nathji used to visit Janpath in New Delhi he used to get His hair cutting done at A.N.John & Co. Hair Saloon. In latter years Priya Nathji used to do Shri Nathji's cutting himself. When Shri Nathji visited Janpath in September 1983, He recollected his hair cutting done at A.H. John.
The Janpath branch of A.N.John & Co.which was originally established by Mr. A.N. Bhardwaj in 1950's has closed long back. A.N. John & Co. was indeed one of the most iconic, premium haircutting establishments in Connaught Place (CP) and Janpath, New Delhi during the mid-to-late 20th century
It was highly celebrated for its luxury setup, featuring private individual cubicles where patrons received personalized hair care and precise grooming. Along with other vintage elite names like Roy and James and Tawar and Susan, it defined premium styling for Delhi's high society, politicians, and bureaucrats for decades
While the original Connaught Place/Janpath branch closed down as the commercial landscape of CP shifted over the decades, the historic A.N. John brand remains highly active as a luxury salon chain
They run four major flagship locations across the Kolkotta (including their legendary Park Street branch at Queens Mansion) along with a dedicated hairdressing academy. They also have stores in oher cities like Rachi and Delhradoon.
