Vedi Tailors in Delhi made many
of Shri Nathji’s Achkans in later years. Vedi tailors had a long association
with Shri Nathji lasting from 1980 to 1992, right up to the last moments of
Shri Nathji’s sojourn upon this planet. On every 23rd of June Priya Nath would
get a new achkan made for Shri Nathji, even as Mahamateshwari had done. In Delhi, most of the achkans were tailored by Vedi Tailors at Connaught Place near Odeon cinema, and the tailors there had grown very fond of Shri Nathji even as he visited their shop for the fitting. They even made some of his shirts.
During the later years, in the 1990’s, Shri Nathji stopped going out of the house and the achkans were tailored and brought to the house by Vedi tailors, as they kept Shri Nathji’s measurements with them permanently–the measurements of God.
Shri Nathji liked their achkans but always complained of the ill-fitting and loose collars.
