Elephant and Castle

Elephant and Castle is a distinct area of South London. It has this famous monument  of the Castle on an elephant.  This was the location of the shop of Mr. Kundan Lal Jalie an optometrist in London-- who obtained miraculous peace of mind after being in a state of perpetual depression from business losses. He would say to HH Shri Mahaprabhuji:"Main aapko Ram or Krishna ki tarah maantaa hoon, dil sebhi aur zubaan se bhi!"
Historically a major traffic junction, Elephant and Castle dug itself out of the Victorian slums to prosper in 1880. Enjoying its heyday in the 1930s,(There is also an old photograph of this area)  the streets were once lined with prosperous shops. It is also an important station of the London Underground. The photo of the station is also given. Now plans are a foot to completely rewrap this old area on London.
It will completely change and bear a modern look.
